Happy Birthday Aubrey

Today we celebrated Aubrey's 2nd birthday! Last night Sam and I were both up late making a cake, decorating and putting toys together. We started off the morning by making pancakes, doing a little shopping then it was off to the zoo. We didn't really know what to expect because we had never been to the zoo out here before. Overall Sam and I were not impressed, but Aubrey really enjoyed herself and seeing all the animals. Kind of interesting that most of the animals were ones that Sam and I were used to seeing regularly in the wild or on families farms back out west, like prairie dogs, white tailed deer, goats, pigs and buffalo...oh well. What else can you expect out east! They did have a few more exotic animals though and she was able to ride the carousel. We had a late lunch at a yummy Mexican restaurant (yeah we finally found one our here!) and then came home and went swimming. Finally it was time for cake and presents. I think Aubrey was a little overwhelmed with her loot this year and I guess as parents we are learning as we go too! :) After getting everything all unwrapped there was a little bit of play time and the day was done! We had such a fun family day today and Aubrey has turned into such a special little girl. We love her so much!! Thanks to everyone for the wishes, cards and gifts. We are so lucky to have such great family and friends!! Miss you all!!

I had to keep reminding Sam not to make gun fire sounds around this exhibit! :)
Happy 2nd Birthday Aubrey!!
Have you ever seen a more pink butterfly!?
Yummy!!

She loved the tricycle and really liked the bell that came along with it!
Time to go grocery shopping.
She finally has a stroller for her babies!
What girl can be without a purse and make-up?
We had to take the tricycle outside for a spin. Sam tried to get her to use the pedals, but her toes could not quit reach the end, but she was a pro at using her feet to push along!
